Meta is changing how Facebook Pages work. Now, if a Page wants to post more than two links every month, it must pay money. This is a new rule for businesses and creators who want to share links to other websites. Meta wants to keep people on its apps for a longer time.

Meta has two new plans for these users. The first plan is called Meta One Advanced. It costs $49.99 per month. This plan allows a Page to use eight links in its posts or reels each month. The second plan is called the Max plan. This plan costs $499 per month. It allows a Page to post an unlimited number of links.

Why is Meta doing this? Social media companies make money from advertisements. When people stay on Facebook or Instagram, the company can show them many ads. If a user clicks a link and leaves the app, Meta loses that user. If the user is not on the app, Meta cannot show them ads. By charging for links, Meta makes it harder for people to leave.

This change is difficult for news companies and small businesses. They need to send people to their own websites to make money. For a small business, the $49.99 plan might be okay. But for a large company, the $499 plan might be necessary. This new rule shows that moving between different websites will now cost money. Meta wants to build a digital space where users stay inside and watch many advertisements.
